AMoore Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Lloyd Junior Zack Craddock gets the complete game win. Lloyd 10-7 Boone Co. 11-6
bulldog77 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Coach Moore, keep gettin' it done. The boys look great and the coaching staff has done an outstanding job. See you in a few weeks.
The Great Game Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Wow, nice win for Lloyd! Boone seems to be fighting it lately?
WebGems37 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Hard to play 7 games in 5 days at the HS level and have enough pitching, which Boone is short of to begin with under normal scheduling conditions.

That should take nothing away from a good victory for Lloyd, who threw a pitcher with only 1 start on the year and had seen minimal relief work. No doubt Boone Co. played a string of games in not so many days, missed Reed's presence in the lineup, and was thin on pitching, but on this day, Lloyd was the better team. As for how this plays out later in the season, time will tell. Congrats to the Juggernauts and good luck the rest of the way.

Just being an innocent bystander, to me it doesn't sound like WG37 meant it the way you took it. I second the notion given by both WG37 and goallout in that yes Boone County had played a ton of games within a short period of time and was strained for pitching but if you lose more often than not the other team was better on that given day. Now what I'll say without having seen Lloyd play this year is that they may or may not be a better team than Boone County but when you defeat someone by 8 runs, you're definitely better on that particular day.
