Owen was down 5 to 0 and came back for the win. Ogden pitched the entire game and did a great job.

I would not say he is the real deal, he is far from it. This was by far Henry's worst game of the year for them.

Ogden has always been a good pitcher...and I would say for the smaller school he is the real deal.

There was someone from Shelby Co. at the game (I assume checking Henry out) and he said he was a great pitcher and ask for his name. Sounds like maybe a little upset over loss. Henry probably thought they would blow Owen away as their record has not been the best this year, but things can change.

So I am assuming the district standings are:

 

Gallatin 2-0

Owen 1-1

Henry 1-1

Carroll 0-2

Ogden is a good pitcher. He may be struggling this year, but he can throw the ball as good as anyone around here.

Sounds like there might be an personal situation here. You should never let a personal issue change the way you look at a kids talent. Michael Ogden is a very talented left handed pitcher. He has a good fastball with nice off speed pitches to go with it. When he is hitting his spots, he is very good. He sometimes tries to take too much on himself which can hurt him. He plays for the Ky. Kings summer team and has done a good job against the better competition as well.

It also helps when your team starts putting some runs on the board as well. From what I hear that hasn't been happening. I have seen a few games. The last couple nites, looks as if you have some hitters stepping up. Where does Harris, McDonald and Gamble place in the line up. Doesn't Harris lead off? Wasn't for sure where the other two were. It is gonna take the stepping up of those bats to help out your pitching and cut down on those errors.

There have been 32 errors in the 6 games he pitched in. Ground ball mode hasn't been working.
