What should schools do?

Students have to be in school 1050 hours.

I think the 177 days comes from the usual school year is 175 days and the state gave teachers 2 extra days last year to boost pay.

 

Teachers received a raise, in part, because they added 2 days of instruction time and 2 days of personal developement.

I thought schools got a special rate on diesel?

 

With the current state budget crunch and the skyrocketing cost of diesel and other fuel costs, I think many of the smaller school districts will feel the worse of the pain.

 

They do but it is still high.

 

In talking to a superintendent, they indicated the price they pay for diesel is about the same that a regular person pays for gas.
