Talk is that Davis has been relieved of his coaching duties. It's been widespread belief for some time that Cline, once Davis' assistant and now the Madisonville girls' coach, was the heir apparent whenever the job came open.

 

If you believe the local chatter, a coaching change increases the likelihood that Hood will stay at Madisonville.

Rumors are Davis was let go. Don't know the specific reasons. However, Madisonville graduated the other 4 starters, and they didn't have a deep bench. Most think the only thing Madisonville has going for them next year is a possible Mr. Basketball. Similiar to the Lyon County team with Ty Rogers 4 years ago. Time will tell.

There have been a lot of rumors about the whys and the whens and reasons. But I would say it is going to happen and will made public real soon.

This is confirmed from a teacher at Madisonville. Sounds like it is Cline's job.
