He did! I thought Luke was a little too selective at that at bat. It went full count without any attempts. Heard the homer was a blast though. Also saw Maile throw out a runner at second late in the game. Wasn't even close. If you are going to run on Maile, I would have to think that you would have pretty good wheels. With that said, he threw that runner out by 20 ft. with the ball hitting the ground behind the mound and rolling the rest of the way. That just shows how strong his arm is. Scary strong!:eek:

Warning's bunt was a thing of beauty and it was with the bases loaded no less.

 

Luke's HR was a no doubter as soon as it came off his bat.

 

CovCath is going to miss Shover much more so in the infield than they will at the plate and Holocher will do just fine at SS. While he doesn't make the great plays he is usually very steady.

 

Darner while not quite "The Vacuum" that Popham was at third, is doing a very good job so far this season and is currently pounding the ball, much more so than "The Vaccuum" did last year.

 

This years CovCath team pitching staff, is very, very solid. Niehaus, Isler, Nutini, and Sainola, are four quality pitchers and that is what it takes to go deep into the toruney

 

If I were Maile, Isler, Nutini, Darner, Holocher and Neihaus, I would as a group of players be talking to Shover about getting him to come back to play.

 

The one thing everybody seems to forget about this CovCath team is that everybody sans Niehaus and Wehry will be returning next year. Kind of scary really, when you realize just how young this team is.
