March 24, 200818 yr My new DR High Voltage Strings came in today and wow, what a great set of strings these are. I bought gauges 9-50 and I never thought changing your strings out would add sooo much more to your tone.
March 24, 200818 yr Author I've never broken a string tuning to open E. Maybe you should try stretching the strings. How should I go about doing that?

March 24, 200818 yr ;)AWWW, butt, of course! Hey...you CRACKING jokes on me? Just what ever you do, not leave your back side exposed.
March 25, 200818 yr How should I go about doing that? Grab a single string with your thumb and index finger and pull it straight up. Do it on the middle of the fretboard, then just a little at the top of the neck and near the bridge. Then do it for each string. It's supposed to be done whenever you put new strings on to stretch them out so they won't slip out of tune as often. If I've had strings on for a while I do it again too. I don't know if it will help your particular situation, but it may break in the string enough so that it isn't as likely to break.
