What teams are going to be strong in each class from the west?

From far western KY:

 

1A - Fulton City, Crittenden Co.

2A - Trigg Co., Caldwell Co.

3A - Paducah Tilghman

4A - Calloway Co., Hopkins Central

5A - Hopkinsville

6A - nobody, down season

A ... Mayfield is still the team to beat, with Crittenden County and Fulton City possibly making a run at the Cardinals.

 

2A ... Fort Campbell will reload. Trigg County should be the best in District 1.

 

3A ... Paducah Tilghman, hands down. Russellville should win District 2, and this year they won't have to play Central in the quarterfinals.

 

4A ... Calloway County is the favorite in District 1, but Lone Oak might be better than expected. Warren East and Franklin-Simpson will fight it out in District 2.

 

5A ... District 1 could be another dogfight with Christian County, Hopkinsville and Owensboro. Bowling Green looks tough to beat in District 2, but Warren Central should close the gap considerably.

 

6A ... Henderson County should be the favorite, with a potentially tough challenge from Daviess County.

I respectfully disagree. Central just lost what little it had in Boards. I would venture to say the Dragons are looking at some rough times ahead. They still will have a few kids that can play, but it would not susprise me to see Grayson Co. beat them this year for 2nd in that District. I know it sounds far fetched, but Grayson had them on the ropes last year and I suspect Coach Smart and the Cougars may close the gap this year.

I don't know about Grayson County catching them, but I have to agree that I don't know about Central closing the gap on BG. I haven't heard too many positive things out of Warren Central thus far.

 

WC won't hurt at the running back position as I think Mitchell will step in nicely.
