I will see if I can rumage up the marking they used to put on the fence. I will measure it one day, to just make sure. There have been a few teams say that it is that short. It is deceptive.

Thats what i was thinking. The ball park can have homeruns hit out of it. There were two Montgomery County homeruns when they played there.

I would add senior catcher Jordan Barker to this list 7 games in and he has 2 homers.

Lewis Co. was able to hit 4 homeruns last night in the second game and Mason Co. had 1 homer. I was told by a player that the wind always seems to be helping.

Not always. Maybe early in the season. There will be days in May, you think you have one, and it's not close. But, last night the wind helped it was blowing straight out.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's fun for the kids who get to play on smaller fields an hit a home run every now and then. We've had kids the past four times we've played there that have hit home runs and have yet to hit one out of our field and it is a legit 325 down the lines and 380 to center.

 

Just saying, if Mason's field is 330 down the lines, then the air is thiner in Maysville than Denver. :lol:
