Mason County 60 Harrison County 47 (10th Region Semi-Finals)

Featured Replies

Final. VERY close game. Mason ran away with it the last 3 minutes, with the help of Chambers, who was in foul trouble the whole game. Harrison led at the half by one point, and stuck with Mason throughout the whole game. Chambers played the 4th quarter with 4 fouls, but made some crucial plays down the stretch to carry Mason County to the win. Mason outscored Harrison County 21-11 in the fourth quarter.

Mason advances to the finals tomorrow night against the winner of Montgomery Co. and Campbell Co.

Congrats to the Lady Royals!

One more win!

Hopefully Mason County will play with more intensity tomorrow night and stay out of foul trouble. They'll have to if they want to win against Montgomery County, which it looks as if they are the obvious opponent since they are winning by 20+ right now.

Congrats to K. Menke, who really kept the Lady Royals in this one until they could pull away late in the game. The back-to-back driving baskets by D. Chambers were key as well.

Survive and advance! Congrats also to Harrison County, who stuck around for an awfully long time in this one.

First time I've seen the officials lose track of free throws twice in the same game!

Congrats to the the Lady Royals and I look forward to seeing the battle Monday night.

Campbell County is running a nice Tournament, my only compaint is the cold hot dog and even colder cheese that came with my nachos.....

Today's crowd was pretty decent, considering the Sunday scheduling and the roads. AA through Bracken County was no fun on the way to the game, much better on the way back. Saw one wreck each way; I hope everyone attending today's game had safe travel!

Kudos to Keller Menke for her part in keeping Mason County close in the first half, and to Mason Countys BENCH for solid minutes as a result of the early foul trouble. If anyone thought this game would be lopsided they were sadly mistaken. Harrison County is a much improved basketball team this year and they should be commended for coming in with a great gameplan and leaving it all out on the floor. To the Lady Royals, go and get this thing done tomorrow night!
