9th Region on ICN6 ?

Featured Replies

Are the 9th Region games going to be televised ?

I saw where the finals were going to be televised live...and then multiple replays! Both Boys and Gals!

From what I understand, and from what they have done in the past, the Semi-finals of both the Girls and Boys Ninth Region Games will be shown live on ICN6 as will the Finals of both.

I would think this will be the last year that you will be able to see the games live, as with the move to The Bank of Kentucky Center, I would think, that unless Insight came up with some, major dollars the Ninth would prefer your butt in the stands, rather then in your easy chair at home.

I love the fact these games are on TV. Instead of dragging the wife out, I can put some popcorn in the mircowave and watch from home.

Unless the Birds get knocked out I will be there in person. If they do then I will be at my neighbors watchign on the Tube. I am strongly considering ditching the satellite for ICN6 mainly for the NKY sports programming.

This is one event I will always want to see in person rather than on TV, unless it was in HD. (In my opinion sports in HD is better than being there live). But anyways, I love the atmosphere and I think that will be missed next year when they move the 9 Region finals to the Bank of Kentucky Center at NKU.

To me playing in the older gyms like Conner and Holmes is what its all about. Even some great games and stories can be told at the newest gym, Ryle. Its sort of like watching Hoosiers in person at times. I hope I still have the same feeling when I watching the finals in that "GIANT ARENA" next year.
