March 8, 200818 yr Author Not weird at all. They're friends, and Popovich gave him a job. He's an adviser for the spurs right now. I didnt hear them say he gave him a job. They were saying it was more about staying active and staying in the public eye in a way. When you fade away is when you struggle to return.
March 8, 200818 yr I didnt hear them say he gave him a job. They were saying it was more about staying active and staying in the public eye in a way. When you fade away is when you struggle to return. The San Antonio Spurs have hired Kelvin Sampson as an adviser, days after he resigned as Indiana University men's basketball coach amid allegations he committed major NCAA rule violations, 6Sports Director Dave Furst reported Thursday. Sampson was in San Antonio's arena during the Spurs' 108-97 win over the visiting Indiana Pacers. He is expected to advise the defending NBA champions for the next few weeks, Furst reported. Just because YOU have not heard about it, that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
March 8, 200818 yr Author Well, you would have thought Hubie Brown would say that since he talked about it for 5 minutes. My apologies for filling you guys in on what Hubie Brown said.
March 8, 200818 yr Author What's he advising them on? I'm sure most NBA guys are pretty good with a cell phone. I cant see him bringing much else to the table.

You must feel proud that you got something right tonight. Show me where I said he wasnt hired though? All I said was the guys on the broadcast didnt say that, and I would have expected them to do so.
March 9, 200818 yr Sorry, but it doesnt roll off the tongue like "Big Aristotle." I have to say I liked when Shaq called himself, the "Big Sewer."
March 9, 200818 yr Updated Playoff standings... East: Team...Games back Boston 0 Detroit 4.5 Orlando 10.5 Cleveland 14 Toronto 16 Washington 19.5 Philadelphia 20.5 Atlanta 23.5 West: Los Angeles 0 San Antonio .5 Houston 2 Utah 3 New Orleans 2 Pheonix 4 Dallas 4.5 Golden State 5 Denver is just 2 games out of 8th in the West, New Jersey is .5 games out of 8th in the East and Chicago is 1 game out of 8th. Just thought I would throw this out there, Miami is 38 games out of 1st in the East.:sssh: Memphis, Seattle, and Minnisota are the only teams eliminated from playoff contention.
March 9, 200818 yr What is it, like Denver (who is currently 9th in the West) would be the 3rd or 4th seed in the East. That's ridiculous.
