IMO, this is the same kind of shenanigans that has earned Kentucky state government its reputation for corrupt government. It amazes me that the people who attacked Ernie Fletcher for continuing some of the crooked hiring practices of his Democratic predecessors see no problem with Yung's donation. I cannot help believing if Beshear was a Republican, there would be demands for an investigation or some kind of "reform" initiative put forward by Democrats. This is my last post on this subject. Kentucky has the state government that it deserves and its concerned Democrats continue to wonder why companies are so reluctant to locate major operations there. Wilkinson, Patton, Beshear,...the Democratic procession of ethical governance continues.:lol: UPS, Toyota, Ford (did not close their plant) Peabody, LexMark, Montaplast, Humana, Vencore . . .
February 25, 200818 yr Are Republicans now opposed to money as speech? Just asking. If you guys have come around on this issue, I hope you'll help the cause by voting against Mitch. I have no problem with it. Everybody knew he was pro-casino and because of that it's no surprise that he got big contributions from casino people. It's no different than unions backing pro-union candidates or oil companies backing pro-oil candidates. What bothers me is when I hear a candidate, any candidate, talk about how they're going to fight for the people against the "special interests". Let me list everybody in the country who is not a member of a "special interest" .............OK I'm done. What also annoys me is people who actually believe the "I'll fight against the special interests" tripe when a candidate spews that nonsense.
