What does Nelson County need to do to improve in 2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Nelson Co. must replace a very good senior full back (Boone). The O line must continue to improve. They are strong and mobile and should be ok. They run an option offence that has really improved the last two years. The QB will be a 3 year starter and has mastered the option. Coach Bruner has stuck to his style and the players now understand the system. I look for NC to compete for the District title.

I think Nelson will be very competetive in 2008. They need to find some depth and talent on the defensive line, and they had some graduations in the secondary that will hurt. Offensively, I think they are set at all 3 RB positions and have a great option QB. Will be interesting to see if they do more of a rotation with Tyler Martinez at QB and move Keene to a wing position.

Given how things clicked for Keene in the second half of the season, I have to believe he is about as entrenched at QB as you can get. They should be able to run the ball on most anyone, but stopping people will be a challenge again.
