Newport hangs on to thwart a furious eleventh hour Mustangs rally. Brossart came from 19 down in mid-third period to lose the photo finish.

Speaking of finishes - failing to do so on numerous high percentage chip shots came back to haunt the Stangs tonight.

Blue-chip Sophomore Jacob Rieger scored 17 in the second half, including 12 in the final quarter to lead all scorers. Newport was led by Jamon Greene with 15.

The Cats, with no seniors in the lineup, are a potential force for the future.

Brossart 11-11-10-25 - 58

Newport 12-16-19-15 - 62

Mustang do you think BBHS has a decent shot of beating CCHS in the district finals. If both make it.

Housley isn't a senior??

Nice win for Newport.

Housley isn't a senior??

Tonight was senior night at Newport.

The ONLY Senior was a cheerleader.

Housley is a junior.

We'll cross that bridge if and when we come to it.

Congrats to Newport. And after 3 games in 4 days I'm sure Brossart is breathing a sigh of relief.
