By Brad Laux - Sports Writer

Rowan County Senior High School principla Mark Murray announced the hiring of ShaDon Brown as the school's new football coach at a Thursday morning press conference in the Lucille Caudill Little Theatre.

Brown comes to Rowan County from Boyle County, where he served as an assistant coach this past year, working with the linebackers and running backs. The Rebels finished the season with a 5-7 record after advancing to the second round of the state 4A playoffs.

Brown is a very good coach...high intensity

Brown will be a good one....wish he could've gotten an asst. job with Danville, but I am sure being a head coach is a dream come true for him. Wish him nothing but the best in Morehead!

Congrats Coach Brown!

He is a great person and a great coach... RC is lucky to have him.

He will do well at Rowan.
