Garrard County improves to 14-11 on the season. Boyle County falls to 12-10. Very good game for both teams. I'm not sure on all the numbers, but Garrard held Jordan Aumiller to 8 points.

Garrard and Boyle will meet in the first round of the district tournament in a couple weeks. Should be an exciting game.

Congrats Garrad.

When you hold Aumiller to 8 you have accomplished something. IMO he is one of the top 5 players in this region.

It should be an interesting rematch in three weeks.

There rematch should be a very good ballgame. Garrard led by three after three quarters in the first game before a quick spurt by Boyle finished the Lions off. Last night saw Garrard lead basically the whole way before struggling late, but they were able to pull it out in overtime.

I'd probably give a slight district tournament edge to Boyle County because they are bigger than Garrard and they have so much postseason experience and success. Senior point guard Nate Ploskonka it the only Lion to have played in a regional tournament and he was a freshman. But Garrard's style is so difficult to defend and they get so many easy buckets. Boyle County will be a slight favorite, but they'll have to play a great game to win.

Garrard has been blessed with a relative easy district this year. Boyle Co. is not the team they have been over the last two or three years. I think Coach Bolin and his staff would produce the same results.
