District 36 Draw

Featured Replies

When will the KHSAA wake up. Time and time again everyone complains about this come tournament time. If one district in the state seeds then every district should or if there is a draw everyone draws.

I understand the smaller schools not wanting to seed but why wouldn't they want the best teams in their district to represent them in the regional and possibly going down state. H.S. sports is about the kids not the adults who think the trophy's make them look good.

Let's just have a regional tourney and no districts? This will solve the seeding question and all. Blind draw region? Then everyone's in, and the best team will come out on top! ;-) :ylsuper:

We are. Love the draw. Keeps the tournament the same throughout. Draw at regionals. Draw at state.

Then as I wrote in the boys thread, let only one team move on like you do in the Region and of course do in the Sweet Sixteen, as you have only one winner.

What about having only one team advance to the Region, would you be for that?

Of the 42 Districts throughout the state only 6 DO NOT seed, the 7th, 8th (Boys Only, girls IS seeded) 34th, (Dixie, Lloyd, Ludlow, Villa) 36th (Bellevue, Dayton Highlands, Newport, New Cath), 38th and 39th. All of the remaining 36 Districts are seeded.

Seems to me these 6 Distrcits and especially the 2 from NKY need to get in the game?

Just as a clarification there are 64 districts in the state, 4 to each region.

If you're going to seed the districts, seed the regional and the state.

Let's stack the deck from the get go!!

Make sure the top 2 teams in the district/region/state are in opposite brackets.

Stand corrected, story of my life. Thanks!

52 of the 64 Districts seed and half of the four in NKY do not.

I agree. I thought the idea of the All A was to give smaller schools a chance to play in a state wide tournament. Heck if you're a small school in the 36th you get your cake and eat it to.

The All A classic is not a "state" sponsored tournament, in meaning that the KHSAA doesn't run it or organize it. It is technically an invitational tournament that all Class A schools are invited to and can choose to accept or not.
