I'm not sure if there are any backup plans.

 

I heard today that the basketball coaching positions for Harlan County High School will be posted sometime this week. That way as soon as season is over they can name the coaches.

Ok, leave your opinions out, and just state who viable back up plans may be for them if you dont care.

What about Cawood'scoach? Appears to have done a good job, he's relatively young, and a local guy.

They aren't going to struggle. My guess is they'll be ranked in the top eight in the region next year. These guys have all started at one time or another for their respective teams:

 

Josh Caldwell

Kyle Hogue

Tyrek Simmons

Paul David Creech

Brandon McCoun

T.J. Green

Bruce Short

R.J. Fields

Jerry Joseph

Dillon Cain

Mendall Haynes

Corbin, Knox, Clay, Bell, South, North, and M'boro return good talent next season. If Jones is named the coach next season, then HC could be a solid team by District time (Good Luck Bears).:thumb:

All those teams will be solid, but that doesn't mean Harlan County won't. Jones' teams don't usually wait until district time to be solid.

I've mentioned him in the past and many believe he will end up at Harlan Independent.

I agree, Jones will have them ready come start of the season. With an offseason workout and pleanty of teaching the Black Bears will be competitive.

 

The only problem that I see is that Jones will not accept players not coming to practice. No knock on any of the county coaches now; but I do know in at least 2 of the schools players will miss practice time without any punishment. Jones will not go for this! I think that once the kids understand that they will be held accountable then everything will work its self out. I hope! :thumb:

He has done a good job; but no chance in him taking over the Black Bears. I'm not saying that he is not capable.
