University Heights 74 Paintsville Tigers 68

Featured Replies

In a WELL fought game by BOTH teams... UH comes out on top by 6 points and will play tomorrow in the Finals against either Hazard or Rose Hill.

I missed on this one. I thought Paintsville would win, but I knew it would be a battle. UHA will be hard to stop tomorrow....they've been there and done that.

Congrats to the Blazers on the win, Paintsville fought hard and I hope they make it to Rupp.

I sure thought The Tigers would win.

Hopson must've decided to do something other than hang out on the perimeter. I figured Paintsville would win this.

Hopson vs Slone stats?

To go ahead and say that Hopson is lazy at any game is wrong... Hopson is a GREAT player... Not alot of people will admit it but out of everyone in Kentucky the only person that probably comes close to him is Miller. I'm not talking about his ability to run up and down the court. I'm talking about his ability to play the game. I will admit that on "easier" teams he doesn't give as much as he should. But i'm pretty sure he is not the only player to do this.... He is a great player and if he can stay healthy and continue to grow and mature then he has about the best chance to go to the NBA and represent Kentucky.... I understand not alot of people like UH or Hopson... But give credit to where credit is due. Same as Miller and the kid from Bryan Station along with all the other great players of Kentucky this year. Good luck to ALL the kids this year. I hope great things happen for all of you this year. And good job Blazers on a good win. Good luck tomorrow. May the best team win.

You said he was lazy; not me. All I know is that a player should be willing to do whatever it takes to win. And if you are an extremely gifted player who is 3-4 inches or more taller than anyone else on the floor, I expect you to crash the boards.

I didn't see today's game, but I saw the other ones, and IMO Hopson needs to crash the boards more. I've watched Mack for several years, and he always crashes the glass.

I'll be at the title game tomorrow, anxious to see all the Scotty Hopson "hype"

Are they not in the finals? If Hopson only scored two points in the game but those two points were the game winner. Then does that mean he is a terrible player? I think it is good that he did not get 50, 40, or 30 points. Because if so then that would pretty much be a one player team and there is no way any team could win because of that by a team as good as Paintsville. I'm sure Miller or Mack hasn't "crashed the boards" every single game they have played. No person is perfect. And by the way I never said he was lazy. I said "against easier teams he doesn't give as much as he should." Along with alot of players in Kentucky.

Hopson has been there since middle school, Edmonson I'm not sure.
