Question about non-playing players?

Featured Replies

Well if I could state a name it would be much easier to explain!! BUT since I can't do that without getting the thread closed or myself put in "Mod Squad Jail"...that was the best way I knew how to state it when I started the thread.

If you don't like the name of the thread...change it!!

I was just joking with you....the name got my attention.

I don't think its a big deal...nor should it be. I am not aware of a specific rule on practice, but there is on playing.

Not true and KHSAA ByLaw 9 and ByLaw 14, speak of "Eligibility and Certification" for all contestants.

Any school committing violations, should not be discussed here but rather contact the KHSAA.

Rule #4

4. No school-specific (or general) recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No talking about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations. Feel free to contact http://www.khsaa.org to report such violations, but do not discuss violations here.

You are fine. I was making fun of Fastbreak! :sssh::laugh::laugh:

Can a kid particpate (sit on bench, go to all practices, etc.) if he/she is really not on the team at this time? FYI..The kid will be on the team next year.

Couple of things here, what do you mean by participate?

A person that I am familiar with is being homeschooled. They asked me if they could work with my golf team to earn their homeschooling PE credit. Since they are not from my county, I said no as I thought it could be considered me trying to recruit that person.

I sent them to the golf coach of their county. They also couldn't have them around their practices because of the same issue. It could be seen as recruiting even though they were in their county but was not enrolled in the school.
