Congrats to Lewis Co on a good win. Its difficult to imagine a 3A school such as Russell not producing any more talent than this for basketball. They had a great class last year but you would not expect such a drop off.

That Russell team lost not only their starting 5 but I believe around their top 8 or 10 players to graduation last year. Any school would have problems in a season following graduating that many from a good team. What imo they have now is a very young team with little to no varsity experience from anyone.

JMO and maybe a Russell fan can tell you more.

Russell has some pretty good young talent and that program will be back.

I know that considering how they have been known to play in the Districts in years past and with me being a Raceland fan I certainly would rather not see/draw them in the 63rd District this year.

I would not want to draw this team in the districts either. During coach Hampton whole career they have been known to be a threat come tournament time. When they a hitting the three they are a dangerous team.

I'll bet they would still vote to seed and take their chances against the #1 seed this year because they know that seeding is the right thing to do. Who knows, we just may see the 63rd seed next year. :sssh:
