Wow, KYPRIDE, did you just buy interest in BGP's? I can't say I disagree w/you but as you well know, humans will be humans. We tend to open our mouths and insert both feet most of the time and usually have no idea what we are talking about.

 

The LCA incident is public knowledge and has been reported in the paper. I don't think people talking about it on here would be a violation due to the reports being out. Not saying any of the kids were football players, it would be hard for me to believe that none of the 16 kids in the report were not football players.

 

Anyway, LCA has to be the favorite next yr w/all they return but until someone beats Beechwood, they are still #1 and the defending champions. I think Pikeville will be good again and as always, Mayfield will be in the hunt and Frankfort returns some very good skilled players!

As far as a non-Beechwood or LCA pick, I've got my darkhorse (Campbellsville), but Hazard looks really, really good. I can't remember the kids name, but the HUGE wide reciever they had looks to have a tremendous upside. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't he just a sophmore this past season? If that is true, and they can replace the 3 or starters, they should walk through their district and make their way back to LCA again. They were very athletic, and what I really loved about them was the fan support. I had never been to a Hazard game, or even seen them play in person until this year. I went and watched them against LCA and I have to say...WOW!!! That community is behind that program. Divadawg is definitely not the only barking GO DAWGS down their way. With that kind of support, the possibilities are endless. I hope they do well...until they run into Campbellsville...haha

From the Mountains:

 

1A

The top three teams will be Hazard, Cumberland, and Pikeville. Pikeville though will have ALOT of question marks, they lost a whole bushel of skill players despite returning possibly the best player in 1A in Daniel Harmon. The Panthers should win their district, but expect Hazard or Cumberland to be the hevay weights of the mountains next year.

 

2A

Corbin and Pburg will be the clear class. Corbin lost some very good Seniors including Clint Cashen and Rob Madon, but Ryan Fritts emerged as a force to be reckoned with. Pburg made a nice run in the playoffs before falling on the road to Desales, they return the brunt of their offensive production and the Blackcats always field a solid defense. Allen Craynon had a breakthrough season and will return as one of the better offensive players in 2A. Expect Middlesboro to be improved, and Shelby Valley also continues to make great strides in their program behind Coach Saunders.

Michael Campbell.. I believe he was a Junior, but he could have very well have been a Soph. The Bulldogs will have an excellent arsenal of skill players returning.

I think the qb and rb will be back, pretty sure some key linemen and linebackers graduated though.

They lost All Stater Dustin Geisler from the line...but they will have plenty coming back to make another deep run in the playoffs. They also lose their LB's...but again have very capable reserves. Frosh team was VERY strong this year. Looks like a RE-LOAD and not a rebuild situation!:thumb:
