stick1
Welker is the man, and if the Pat's didn't have him then I don't believe they would be 17-0 right now... I agree with you. Obviously he isn't Moss but I think he's the final piece that makes them almost impossible to stop.
buzzer beater
I agree with you. Obviously he isn't Moss but I think he's the final piece that makes them almost impossible to stop. I agree with you as well. Welker wasn't even drafted, and he came from Miami last season with just 67 catches, 687 yards, and 1 TD. This season he has 112 catches (1st in the NFL), 1,175 yards (11th in the NFL), and 8 TD's (15th in the NFL).
CountryBoy7
I Bet the Charges are wishing they wouldn't have let him go after week 1 now. He is a great reciever yes having Moss helps but he still is as sure handed hard nosed as you can ask from a reciever.
TubbyCAT
I would bet any of you this: If Wes Welker had not been on the PATRIOTS team this season, then Randy Moss doesn't have the season he has and NEITHER does Mr. Brady!

If Moss wasn't on the team, Welker nor Brady would have had the year that they had. If Brady wasn't on the team, Welker nor Moss would have had the year that they had. I guess your point is that no one gives Wes Welker credit; any intelligent football fan knows his importance. If we are handing out unrecognized credit, then it goes to the New England O-line. Under the Lights
Moss makes Welker what he is.... Who did Moss "make who they were" in Oakland? Did Moss make Cris Carter who he was in Minnesota? Or was it the other way around? Now, do I think Welker would be able to go out and single handedly beat teams if he was consistently double teamed? Probably not. Do I think Moss is a productive team player when he is "da man"? Definately not. I also know that the Patriots were having similar levels of success before either got there. So maybe it's not the players, it's the system. Either way, I just want to personally thank Wes Welker for winning me my fantasy money league this year. I don't think I could have overcome Steve Smith sucking so bad if not for him, this one's for you Wes! :thumb:

Just to reiterate......the Pats and Brady were putting up huge offensive numbers long before Welker and Moss got there. Granted, it wasn't 50 TDs a year, mostly because the Pats chose to run the ball more. Now, with the weapons they have, they are a pass 1st team, and rightfully so. The only common denominators in the Pats impressive run are Brady and Belichick....... Everyone else is expendable..... just the way the Pats like it. stick1
That can be said for most Olines. The Giants did an outstanding job again last week vs the Packers. I think Green Bay had 2 sacks and one of them KGB was offsides.
