FairFan Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 It says on Yahoo Sports that Pryor has scheduled a visit to Mich, and they think he has added LSU to his list. Mich commit and teammate of Pryor on the US Army All American Team, Boubacar Cissoko said he is going to be in Ann Arbor when Pryor visits, and try to persuade him into Mich. Also I think OSU just added a 5 star WR, DeVier Posey. I don't remember him being on their list already, but I could be mistaken. Maybe a Buck fan could straighten me up.
John Anthony Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Posey has been a Buckeye for about 4-6 months now and probably even earlier. Pryor has added LSU to his list. Word is he is buddies with Patrick Johnson an LSU signee who played in the Army game with him.
FairFan Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 Posey has been a Buckeye for about 4-6 months now and probably even earlier. Ok, I must not pay too much attention.
John Anthony Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Ok, I must not pay too much attention. Well are you a Buckeye fan?
FairFan Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 Well are you a Buckeye fan? Nope, I'm a Mich fan.
John Anthony Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Nope, I'm a Mich fan. You guys have a solid class. Lose a lot this year, next year will have some bumps in the road, but UM will be strong in a few years.

If they can somehow steal Pryor from OSU, I think they will be ok next year. They have 16, 4 star recruits coming in, and mostly on D, but you are right, they lost A LOT, probably too much to bounce back from in a year.
John Anthony Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Here is a name you will never hear again on this board... Rob Schoenhoft the back up QB at OSU this year is headed to Delaware..... in fear of Mr. Pryor coming to town. Proyor has a lot of impact before he even picks up the pen. Schoenhoft may have played some his senior year. Former Cincy St X star. OSU added 2 more this week. A duel threat QB who was headed to Nebraska or Oklahoma to probably play QB... and they added a DE from Cleveland Glenville, our pipleline for recruiting in OH. Took him for Iowa, sounds like he will play FB at OSU.

The running frosh qb passed him and some think Tressell will play both Boeckman(sp?) and this kid Henton. Therefore, Schoenhoft saw little to no opportunity to play.
ColonelCrazy Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I was asking about Robbie Shoenhoft the other day. Did he ever come close to getting onto the field? Nonetheless, he played on some pretty good teams. I'd like to see him transfer to Delaware where he could get an opportunity to play. The Blue Hens have one of the best QB's in college football now, and I'd imagine Schoenhoft is expecting to eventually take over.

That's obvious, it's well known OSU and Tressell wants to go back to the duel threat QB. Antonio Henton will play some next year along with Boeckman either which way. But Pryor is a heck of a lot better than Henton. Henton is next to get bumped if Pryor signs. Maybe not this upcoming season, but next for sure. Pryor is a 3 year starter at OSU. Scho MAY have split time with Henton but if Pryor comes he is going to play over both in 2 seasons. Scho did not want to gamble that.

He was the back up all year until after the Michigan game he was demoted to #3 and Henton was put at #2. Actually, in the championship game he was a back up TE.

ColonelCrazy Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 FWIW, I just looked and he is listed at 6'6'' 244 and he's a redshirt soph.

Scho did not want to gamble that. First of all, he is not a 3 yr starter because he won't be in college football that long and I think that is the one thing that will hurt OSU as far as getting him. He knows he can go into Mich or maybe LSU (if he really added them to his list) and start right away. With that said, OSU has a way of getting guy in like that, and keeping the good ones longer than people expect.
