About 7-8 years ago, Coach Ray Kues at Brossart, Jerry Ormes at St. Patrick, Michael Appleman, Augusta and Keith Smith at Pendleton County were put in as the first officers at the 10th Region Coaches Association.

Coach Appleman started a weekly coaches rankings. That expanded to stats and was taken over by Keith Smith after Coach Appleman was let go by Augusta. He continued with it until this year.

Thomas Mitchell, JV coach at Deming, has taken it over.

Each coach submits their players stats that meet a minimal requirement. Coach Mitchell puts them altogether and mails them out to a mailing list of media, coaches, COLLEGE COACHES and supporters that have been compiled over the past years. He requested I post it on BGP for him.

Also, from this group came the All-Region team that was spearheaded by Coach Kues and the Regional Hall of Fame spearheaded by Keith Smith.

Top 5 teams in the 10th region as of January 12th, 2008.

1. Mongomery Co.

2. Mason Co.

3. Paris High School

4. George Rogers Clark

5. Bourbon Co. and Bishop Brossart (tie)

Also receiving votes were Scott High and Harrison County.

I think Paris, GRC, and Bourbon all need to be tied for that 3rd spot. They've all beaten up on each other so far this season.
