The Camels go to the fieldhouse to face their old Coach. How do you think this game will play out?

Campbell should prevail easily in this one, especially with their new found defense. Coach Reitz may find out "D" can actually win some games in this one, and what he's missed at Campbell the last few years!!

The Camels would prevail over Harrison regardless of who is coaching Harrison. Our team out mans the Breds in talent. If you don't believe me ask Coach Reitz. I will expect a better game from HC because Reitz is back.

I would think this would have been a great game if harrison was at full tilt but they have been playing with out best player in Franklin so I doubt that Harrison will be able to take them. I will say Camels by only 5- Reitz is pretty good at the Fieldhouse!

You wrong what has he missed I see nothing now this year there pretty good but they would be better with Coach Reitz. You just don't win the region 2 times. From just having good players this guy made good teams great. You need more research before you say his teams don't play defense.

I'll concede he had some great years (some time ago) at his past stays, and seems to be a great guy on top of it.

 

Having a little bit of a tough time deciphering your comment: "You wrong what has he missed I see nothing now this year there pretty good but they would be better with Coach Reitz" but I think you're saying I'm wrong about something? I'd love to respond if you'd care to "translate" your statement??

 

Regarding my need for more research, I've seen many, many Campbell County games against a lot of different teams during his tenure and NEVER saw a lick of real defense. Also talked to several coaches and scouts familiar with those teams who all agreed; but I'm certain you've done far more "research"??

What's your basis behind this statement? The fact that he has won the region twice doesn't mean that the current team would be better with Reitz at the helm. I would agree that at this stage of the season from looking at the record (7 and 2) that things don't look a whole lot different than the past couple of years, but the difference is the attitude and the makeup of the team as a whole. Your entitled to your opinion ---we'll find out just how different this team is in the month of January

Doesnt Talbott come back for Harrison soon?

What I mean is Harrison County is a dream job for him he gets to coach his son. Plus he was taking a lot of heat because they weren't making any noise at the state level. Because of players lack of heart trust me if you don't live in a small town you will never understand what I'm saying.

I think Tex is right in that Reitz is a great coach. You don't win close to 500 games having just talented players. You have to take talent and make it great. I think environment has an effect on players. Reitz definitely has had more success in coaching the small school atmosphere. Even with that being said, I would let Reitz coach my children any day.

 

Still think the Camels are the favorite, looking forward to seeing the game. I guess this will be my only tourney in Maysville this year anyway.

Plus I'm not big on this slow down offense code runs its like watching paint dry it takes forever for somebody to shoot. Its not like they don't have good shooters Jordan Parks one of the most underated players NKY can really play they have a good big man in pete albright I think. Coach Reitz's offense would have worked much better than code's.

Guessing that no matter who was coaching, Campbell still would have beaten Calvary, Silver Grove, Brossart, Newport, Johnson Central, Greenup and Bourbon, and lost to LCA and Montgomery; BUT this is one of Campbell's better starts in years, and Reitz always seemed to schedule light early (Guessing this is his schedule anyway). Certainly can't fault Coach Reitz for heading home to coach his son, and I don't think you'll see where I ever doubted his coaching ability?? Simply said his Campbell teams never played a lick of defense, which is simply FACT!!

Great stat. Stickermann I'm completely with you on this one. Reitz may have been better at scoring points but he was also alot better at letting the other team outscore his teams. Also i don't know what games TEX went to but Reitz never had any D at CCHS. I don't even think that Campbell would have beaten Brossart this year if Reitz was the coach. They would be a much, much weaker team without Code calling the shots.
