Thanks, I have been a little out of the loop during the Holidays. Coach Fite's team plays so hard, they deserve some success.

And it looks like there was a big turnaround from the first game against Dayton. Still the Polar Bears will be fighting uphill in many of their games this year.

As a casual observer, I thought that the rather young Greendevils showed a lot of potential to become a very good basketball team, but seem to be hung up on making tough plays out of easy ones.

A high percentage shot from the elbow equates to a low percentage shot when you try to thread the needle with a bounce pass to someone on the block. Way too many no-look passes, and "big play" passes.

My advise to the Greendevils is simply "Don't be cute - Just execute" and you can become a fine ballclub.

Also, hats off to Coach Dilts and his staff. His team looked sharp coming into the gym and in the stands prior to their game. No Bling, hair under control, well behaved, and wearing sharp Green/Black travel suits. The same carried over on the floor. Good game demeanor and sharp green/black unis.

A prime example of a small "A" school doing things in a first-class manner!

It shows!

On the first bold: Agreed! They get pass happy sometimes instead of just taking the shot and it causes senseless turnovers. It's basketball experience and intelligence stuff that you hope they will learn rather quickly.

On the second bold: :dancingpa

The staff has worked hard to make the image of Dayton basketball a good one and it's paying off.
