I did a quick look at teams that have been able to 3 Peat over the years (limited the search to Class 4A and the old 3A) and the Lik system prior to that 1936-1958). 3 Peats are pretty rare. Kind of like Triple Crown Winners. Male did it 1943-45. X had a chance in 1959 but Flaget won state. Seneca stopped Male from 3-Peating in 1965.

X stopped T in 1974, and T returned the favor in 1976. Trinity 3-Peated 1988-1990, and again in 2001-2003. They have a chance to do it again Saturday night!

Mega props to the other schools that have put together 3-Peat + performances (Highlands, Boyle Co, Beechwood, and Pikeville). My apologies if I left anyone out. :thumb:

I think NCC has a chance of 3 peating this year? They won the last 2 Class A championships. Now they are playing for the 2A championship.
