If I were King of the NBA, I would require all players to have a 4 year college degree in basketball, or equivalent experience (ie. 4 years in the D-league, CBA, USBA, Europe, etc.). Treat basketball like many other professions, like accountants and engineers. It would be better for the college game, the D-Leagues, and the NBA would have a more mature individual coming into the league when the time came.
