4chs Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 This score shocks me. Whitley Co. beat Jellico by 40 last week and then Jellico turns around and beats Williamsburg by 28 last night. Any Jacket fans know what happened?
KIDD 1 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Don't really know whats up with the jackets right now they are alot better than they are playing.
Jim Schue Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Didn't Williamsburg crush this team last year? After looking back, the Jackets won by 19, 19 and 17 in the teams' three meetings. Why have things switched up so dramatically?

Why have things switched up so dramatically? I know that W'burg lost their primary ballhandler from last year, although several W'burg fans that I know did not think he would be missed that much, I believe they returned most everyone else that played significant roles. The story in the Times Tribune on the game may help explain though.http://www.thetimestribune.com/sports
Deuce41 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I was shocked by this score, and from the ease in which they did it to the Jackets. Alot of folks around the area thought that the Jackets would more than likely move up to the third spot in the district this year. They still may but this is not the start that they were looking for. From the coach's comments in the paper it sounds like they are really struggling right now on several levels. Jellico is usually a team that Williamsburg can mark down as a win, but when the wheels start coming off sometimes its hard to stop them. I think they can get a win against Burgin coming up, then the Colonels are on the schedule, they appear to have alot of work to do in the next week.
Deuce41 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I am sure that Coach Robinson is scratching his head at this one too. If the Jackets can just get a win for their confidence level, they could turn it around.
Allupinya Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 WOW this is a shocking score. What is going on at the burg? To much preseason hype for this team? People talking about 10+ wins, 3rd in the district? This team only beat 2 Kentucky schools last year. This is a tough situation for Coach Robinson. I hope he can right the ship.
nomorenoles Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Lack of effert, lack of intensity, and lack of focus are good starting points. This was the first time I have seen the Jackets this year and I was sorely disappointed. I had expected and hoped for a big turn around from the last couple of years. These kids have the ability and Coach Robinson has worked his butt off but something is missing. Somebody has to step up and be a leader. One of Whitley's kids told me after the game he couldn't wait to see Williamsburg next week. If the Orange bunch plays then like they did against Jellico the Colonels game will be uglier than my Junior Prom date.

Never seen the girl, but if this game goes like I think it will she sure must have been pug ugly.
