It's a heck of a lot easier getting an OF than a solid SP...Hamilton will not be a .300 40HR guy either IMO...

Lets see...He hit 19 and .292 in 90 games. So in 72 more games and healthly he can't hit .300 and 40? That makes a lot of sense. "The Hammer" has all the potiential to be a mutiple MVP player.

Sorry, but even veterans wear down as the season goes on, and you have to understand that players rarely ever keep up a consistent pace for an entire season. Shoot if Griffey would stay healthy he could approach those numbers. Why you want to trade Griff then?

BTW, you would have to pay teams to take those 4 players you mentioned previously. If you want to get some solid players, you have to give up talent in return.

The problem is, I doubt he will ever be completely healthy... I hope I'm wrong but I don't ever see him gitting 40 HR's...

The thing is I don't think there needs to be any major moves, the pen is much stronger now and that is what killed them last season. The outfield in '09 should be Dunn, Hammer, and Bruce with Hopper being the 4th.

If they don't improve their starting pitching, they won't fair much better than last year, regardless of who their OF is.

I agree 100%.:thumb:
