Can anyone from Cumberland tell me what was the name of their running back that wore #22 during our (Paris) state championship victory over them in 1982. I think his first name was Bobby and I believed he had over 2,000 yards coming into the contest.

I think it was something like McElheny or Mclhem.

That's it ...thank you! I can remember us studying film on him for two weeks ... because we just overlooked Tompkinsville that year and we thought Cumberland would get past Beechwood.

Bobby Mac was one heck of a football player. I think the hoggs from the Sec was hot and heavy for Bobby. The knee injury he had was terrible but still he will go down as one of the best backs from Harlan County. He was my favorite to watch run the ball and I can remember it like it was yesterday. Harlan County has produced some great players in every sport and Bobby was one of those IMO.
