Final. Lady Bears fight back after being down 10 to start the fourth quarter. Out score Lady Colonels 11-2 in final quarter. But come up just a little short.

Nail Bitter sounds like.

Tough loss.Impressed by the way the Lady Bears fought back to make it a close game.

Bears should be 2-0. These are games you must win with the likes of Mason,Brossart,Scott and Paris coming up in the next 2 weeks

Sorry, they did win their first game and are 1-1, just thought they would blow Dayton out.

I didnt think Bracken was picked to win this one with Bourbon being top 5-7th of the region and having a top 5-7th player . In Norton .

Interesting that Bracken plays one of the preseason top teams in the region really well, has a chance to win the game at the end. Where are all the posters that are always on Coach Schultz' case.

Seems they are poised to make a run this season and have a nice season. I hope those who have been riding her case will give some credit to her for having the girls' ready to play.

Great Job Coach Schultz.

Where is everyone getting all this information that Bourbon is one of the top teams in the 10th region? If your idea of a top team is a team that is in the top ten, well so should Bracken. You basically have Mason,Paris,Clark, Montgomery and then everyone else. Bracken should have won this game at home. Let's see how Coach Schultz does with Mason at home and upcoming games against Paris and Brossart before we decide if the Bears are poised to make a run this season.

During my basketball preview, I had Bracken County ranked 6th in my poll.

I Just figured that Bourbon has 6 seniors returning a top player in Molly Norton (averaged a Double Dluble last year) That they would be at least in the top 5 of the region maybe im wrong but i dont think very many people excpected Bracken to win this one, or even be close remember Bracken is still pretty young.
