Scott High 79 Lewis Co. 49

Featured Replies

Final. Scott shot 51% from field and forced 31 turnovers. Lewis seemed fatigued after last nights win for they allowed many fast break points.

I know Scott lost A LOT from last year's team and they are essentially in the same boat with Brossart and Clark Co. Going to take some time for them to come together.

Looking forward to watching them at the Fieldhouse in a couple weeks. Nice win for them to start the season.

Maybe the cupboard isn't as bare as everyone was led to believe at Scott!

They played hard as all of Carr's teams do but thought the sophomore Niederegger and the freshmen Smith were pretty impressive. They didn't score their points in garbage time. They were playing in the first half when the score was still tight.

Scott had some foul trouble as did Lewis Co (game was a foul fest, had to be 50+ fouls called on both teams) but you didn't see a huge dropoff when Scott went to the bench. That depth really paid off in the third and fourth quarter when Scott went on their runs.

Congrats to the Scott players and the coaching staff.:thumb:

As I recall, Scott was playing some pretty good ball by year's end last season. I look for them to improve and mske some noise in the 10th just like last year.

They are playing a lot of underclassmen so I thinks they will improve as the season goes on as well. They got solid game from starting center (can't even begin to spell his last name) and the senior PG Adkins made a couple of big shots to start the second half to key Scott's run.

They played a lot of first half minutes, and were very crucial for Scott's success in the first half. They both played quailty minutes, and played very well, which only can help this team now, but especially in the future.
