Homeplate Hero Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Sounded like to me that the Brossart guys on the website gave no credit at all to Saint Patrick's basketball team. They pretty much blamed Brossarts lose on reading the paper about the Saints victory over St. Henry. They also said they hoped that the saints starting packing there bags for Richmond after they heard about this game tonight. The Saints do not go by who beat who and they do not assume anything!!!! The Saints are all about hard work and dedication!!!!! I feel that the Saints should have gotten a little more respect then that, I may never tune in to the Brossart site again. I don't even attend St. Pat, just a huge basketball fan in the 10th region.
Homeplate Hero Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 go to the website and litsen to the postgame and then post back!
striker Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I did listen... You're exaggerating. It is completely off based to say that the broadcasting guys were disrespecting the Saints.
Homeplate Hero Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 They also said they hoped that the saints starting packing there bags for Richmond after they heard about this game tonight. You see no disrespect here? If I took it disrespecting I apologize but just from how i took wasnt very appropriate
StickerMann Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Little hard on the BB broadcasters aren't you Hero?? Listened to the same broadcast and the only comment I heard was the one where Mustang said that ST. H came in with something to prove after a tough loss to St. Pats, and BB may have been reading their press clippings from the SG game. He then said he HOPED St. Pats may have the same overconfident attitude in the All "A". Hardly a put down against the Saints, but maybe wishful thinking for his team's sake?? I think if you listen to their broadcasts, you'll find them as objective as any of the teams' who air their games? They will call out their team, and seldom blame anything on officials, etc. Mustang in particular has lived through the heyday of St. Pats basketball and often reminisces about the days when they were the kings of the "A". You might want to listen more than once, rather than "knee-jerk" on one comment; or better yet try broadcasting your school's games and see how objective you are??

YOu're twisting his words, listen more closely...

They never put down St. Pat's team in any way, or belittled their win over St. Henry; even in a game where the visitor was whistled for 26 fouls, fouled out 5 guys and the home team shot 40+ free throws?? Wishful thinking--Maybe?? Hardly disrespectful?? You may want to listen to the tape again??
Homeplate Hero Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 Well I heard what i heard. Dont even dislike Brossart but I will be wearing my green at Bracken co. over Christmas. Sorry if you felt over reacted. I just thought that st. pat was given very little credit for the St. Henry win and was downgraded more Thursday night at Brossart

CashMoney Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Lets not make mounds out of molehills here. Mustang does it with class.
StickerMann Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Lets not forget the road team also shot 31 FT,Not that big of a discrepancy. No argument, but the fact that it wasn't brought up (which many others had done) showed me that no one on that broadcast was disrespecting St. Pats' effort!! I don't have a horse in the race either, but have great respect for Brossart's program and the efforts their broadcast crew's have put forth to try and give the kids something extra!! To see someone with an obvious agenda trying to start something where nothing existed is wrong; and disrespects the job Mustang & his Crew do game in, game out!!!! Just my opinion!!

HOMELESS CAMEL Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I look forward to seeing you again at the Fieldhouse HH. I enjoyed talking to you the few times we got a chance to chat last year at the games. With that said, I listened to a majority of the broadcast, when I wasn't searching third world countries for an online broadcast of the NFL game. ANYHOO They sounded the same as they did last year, they are passionate about their kids, but I didn't hear anything bad said about anyone else or disrespectful.
