I believe your thinking of the river city classic and that team maybe the team from Tenn that year name slips my mind.Had Tony Delks brother or cousin on it.

It was Wings Academy out of NY in 04-05 in the river city classic not Rice.Rice is typically a top 10 team nationally every year i believe there where Shagari Alleneye come from.:thumb:

I remember a couple of things about the Wings game - two MC starters sitting the first quarter due to disciplinaty reasons; but even more memorable was the writeup on Wings Academy in the local paper. Made it sound like most of their games in New York had barriers between the court and the seats.

 

Also their pre-game warmup was pretty entertaining as I recall.

The team is only paying for the juniors and seniors to go. Any other player that wants to go has to pay their own way. They are selling ads to local businesses to put up in the fieldhouse for all season. The team is also doing several fundraising events to raise money to go.
