Durant became a legend because of his ridiculous scoring ability. You won't see the same from Rose, and it's all about points when it comes to being The Face in the college game.

He's already getting major hype from "The Network". Memphis State has a ton of marquee games early to build his hype. Just watch and get back to me by January...

Memphis State has a ton of marquee games early to build his hype. Just watch and get back to me by January... Bold Statement. He'll be a stud no doubt, but he's playing on a squad loaded with NBA talent, can't see him distancing himself from the others when he'll probably only be the third leading scorer on the team. Do you think he'll be the one taking the big shot at the end of the game, or will it go to CDR or Dorsey? Every guy that was the "Face" in the past was the go to guy (Redick, Morrison, Durant, etc.) Being a PG is a different situation no doubt, but he'll only play one year of college ball, and he won't be the man on this years Memphis team.

If you have to pick one it would have to be Hansbrough but I also agree that there really Isn't a "face" of college basketball. I would say as a group the freshmen are the "face" of college basketball.
