I'm glad to see Paris post the win in this one. Hopefully they can finish the 2007 tackle football season strong.

From what I was told tonight, Paris was calling their plays out on the field as OC would line up.

I was also told Paris could've had many more points on the board, but the qb kept fumbling the football.

Paris' Des Henson scored on defense, picked up a fumble and ran it in! Way to go big guy!

 

It wasn't just their QB. The running backs also fumbled the ball once or twice and the QB was picked off once I believe too. I don't know that they would have scored alot more points. Owen's defense did a decent job of keeping Paris out of the redzone. And of the 2 or 3 times Paris was in scoring range Owen only allowed 1 offensive TD. Congrats to Paris on their 1st win.

I see that this post has been predominantly populated by Paris supporters. No problem with that. But what is it with Owen County football? A lot of people were expecting at least 5 or 6 wins. Also, a lot more kids are out this year. Is it conditioning? team speed? I don't think it's a size thing, since they generally stack up pretty well, at least watching from the stands they do. They will lose a bunch of seniors that play a lot of minutes. Next year could be brutal.

That is not good. If they have players skipping practice, they should not be allowed to play.

What type of support do they have administration/parental/community?

I heard not many fans were at this game.

If you are sick you should show up anyway? That is definately not the problem.

Owen has been far from a powerhouse the last several years. I think Kenny knows football and given a little time can probably turn things aroung in Owenton.
