Campbellsville 68 Williamsburg 36

Featured Replies

Campbellsville wins 68 - 36. Their schedule was tough ( #3 Frankfort, #5 Green Co., and #1 Danville ) early on but they have been getting better. Good Luck Williamsburg with the rest of your season. Campbellsville hosts #5 in class 4A state Marion Co. this Friday. It just doesn't get any easier. Play hard Eagles and Good Luck.

Jackets didn't answer the bell. The game was out of hand before they figured out they were not playing the New England Patriots. Much like the LCA game. After they got over being scared they played even. Campbellsville did not sub down so all the scores were legit. The two big backs scared the young Jacket kids to death. They were big and fast and to much for Williamsburg's young kids to handle. The Jackets missed Will Moses but Jake Moses played well at the back. Petit had some nice catches and the Brown kid had some very hard catches. He gets hammered every game but tosses the ball to the ref and goes back to the huddle. I wish his toughness would rub off on some of the other kids. The Avery kid made some nice plays on "d" while in there. He shows the heart that it takes to win.

The jackets were scared at first, but played well after they got over their fear. I was disapointed in the way the Jackets played as well as the sportsmanship of the campbellsville coaches and players. The coaches never subed down and even kicked an onside kick while up by 30+. The players were just as bad, they were taking cheap shots and running their mouths all game long. To me thats a sign of bad coaching. I was also really diapointed in the refs fo this game. Im surpried they didnt get someone hurt.

Good win for Campbellsville, things aren't looking so good on the Williamsburg ship right now, but they are young and need to just put this one behind them.

Strong, fast and big has been the combination that is killing a young Jacket squad. Early success, but a grinding season has put a hole or two in the bow of the W'burg ship.

They'll likely get another chance at Campbellsville during the first week of the playoffs.

Hey, Williamsburg Football, your players had some choice words for the C-Ville players too. From what the players told the coach, the " N " word was used several times. Players don't deserve that because they are winning. So, when you come back in November, leave the racial slurs at home and just play hard. Good Luck the rest of the way.

Those types of words show a complete lack of class...and to my knowledge were "addressed" this week on more than one occasion. There is no excuse for showing such behavior.

From what i've heard the C-Ville players were doing more then winning to encourage the behavior of Williamsburg. It was a two-way street. Like i said first i was disapointed with the way both teams, coaches and players included, acted. Now i dont know much about the coaching staff of Campbellsville, but from what i know about Jerry Herron and Co., i'm sure it was adressed, Chant. Good luck to C-Ville with the rest of their season.

It's still about self control. Trash talk and racial slurs are completely different animals....

I agree but like i've said it was a two way street.

No matter what the street, is there is no room for slurs...I am a realist...and know that trash talk occurs, but it should not cross the "race line" for posterity's sake. Do people realize what statements like these do to their own character? These young men have been made aware of the nature of this and this should not be a problem in the future for the Jackets.
