SK 38 Holmes 13

SK took the lead on their first posession with a nice drive, pounding the ball for a DeWalt score, adding two on the conversion. Holmes rebounded nicely with a few scores via the pass and took the lead at 13-8. SK then scored on a FG and another runnning TD to make the score 17-13. SK had the ball at their own 3 with less than a minute remaining in the half and fumble around the 15 yard line. Holmes' QB Miller was injured on 3rd and long and the backup came into the game and threw a pick to close the half. SK took control in the 2nd half, mixing the pass and the run to close out the game. Nathan Ponzer had a very nice TD reception and Miles Simpson recovered a fumble and took it to the house for a TD to end the scoring. Simpson and DeWalt ran very hard tonight, Neers have a huge game next Friday at Boone.
