Featured Replies

#4 in 6A Henry Clay travels to Winchester Friday to take on GRC.

GRC needs a win.

What are your thoughts.

I don't think it will be as close as last year's playoff game.

Gotta go with your head and not your heart Henry Clay by a bunch! I love Ya cards but it looks like a win may be a few weeks off.

Henry Clay will be the best team that the Cards have faced so far this season. It would be a upset of if Cards won this game....hey there are upsets each week...hope this is one of them.:thumb:

I am going with HC, but not by much. I am calling a close game here. Should be a good one to watch.

Henry Clay 38-22.

I think this game is within GRC's reach but there are several things they will have to do to make this happen.

1). Contain Aaron Boyd. He is a great reciever, and if GRC can keep someone on him constantly, this may limit his total yards.

2). Slow down the run. If GRC has had problems stopping the run, but are improving each week to slow the RB's down. Must work on stopping end sweeps.

3). GRC's passing. Short passes of 10-15 yds. Only let the ball go if the primary reciever isn't double/triple covered. Or pass the ball when you have open recievers.

4). Play selection. If they aren't getting big gains with running around the end, try off tackle..........you'll like it.

5). Lewis at fullback. He's a bruiser. Let him run the ball.

6). Special teams. Gotta hold on to the ball, and get behind your blockers.

Good news. ..talked to Josh Tackett today and he is supposed to play on Friday. He was hurt in the TC game. Also Timmy Davis should be returning soon...Tore ACL in spring practice.

Last friday, when GRC, lost to MC, you could see alot more emotions flying, and the enthusiasm was there to, all this might have came a little to late for that game. But not this game, all that physical play, and the enthusiasm will carrie over friday night, causing a mild upset. GRC, 42 HC, 39

GRC, needs to open up with a fake off right tackal, bootleg Mason out of the pocket, so he can see his wideouts, drag a player under, and run one deep post.:fight Bootlegs, and sprint right passes will help Mason read quicker, and see the open man alot sooner.

Hope the Cards had a good week of practice. You need to come together as one team, and play team football.

Go Cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bermuda grass field of Clark County may help slow the Blue Devils down. I am waiting to see Henry Clay have a break out game offensively and the Cardinals have given up a ton of points this year. Something tells me this one is closer than expected many people think.
