Pike Co. Central 24 East Ridge 7

Featured Replies

Hang in there Warriors!!!

East Ridge fought their hearts out.... I believe they outgained Pike Central.

Nonetheless.. the Hawks improve to 4-1 on the season.

I like both teams but everyone knows I'm a huge Central fan so I have to say great job.

Any stats on this one?

Congrats Central

They seem to be much improved. Can they compete with Belfry or Sheldon Clark in the playoffs?

I don't like comparing teams by common opponents... but Central's only loss was to Shelby Valley in Week 1, the Wildcats beat the Hawks thoroughly, something like 33-14. Last week belfry absolutely crushed SV 51-8 ina game where the running clock was put in play and Belfry's starters only saw a couple posessions in the second half.

East Ridge outgained Central tonight... against Belfry east Ridge gained 39 yards...with all of them coming after Belfry pulled their starters. SC crushed the Warriors last week.

Central is definately improved and has a ton of young talent (their QB is a Soph and is starting to really emerge as a talent), but I honestly can't see them staying within 3 or 4 TD's of Belfry and SC.
