Whitley County 38 North Laurel 6 (JV)

Whitley goes on the road and in the rain to win 38-6. Whitley dominated with their JV offense scoring two touchdowns and their freshmen offense scoring two TDs in the first half.

North's freshmen are their JV team. They are having to play them as a unit in the JV games. And their best frosh player (IMHO), Johnny Ray Fugate is out with a broken leg for the rest of the year. The QB took his first snap ever as a QB in a frosh game last Thursday.

Whitley played their "JV" only three series offensively and two defensively. They played the freshmen the rest of the game. Two series in the first half and one in the second half. They really did not want to play them that much but needed to get them some reps, as they will be called upon in the future.

Donnie Fox, Steve McKiddy and George Davis are the Freshmen coaches.

Bobby Gibbs and Chuck Davis are the JV coaches.

Jim Black will have the Colonels back competing for district titles within the very near future. He is a class act and a proven coach.

Didn't Bell Freshmen play Whitley Freshmen? What did that score come out to be?

They play on Thursday

I must have watched a different game than you. In the game I watched Whitley's "JV" was on the field almost the entire game. There may have been some freshmen going in and out of the game, but they certainly did not play their freshmen team every series except for five.

Then I guess you watched a different game....because that is how little the J"V" played.

I know who the "JV" are and who the "Freshies" are, I have seen them enough on the practice field.
