Game audio with play-by-play and commentary will be broadcast over the internet if you'd like to listen as the Bombers play at home for the first time this year against one of the State's best in Cleveland Glenville.

Glenville, for those interested, has become a pipeline to THE Ohio State University sending such big name recruits as Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith and stud WR Ted Ginn Jr. They are not short on talent this year as another 10-15 will be headed to Div I colleges next fall.

Glenville has a very good team this year with their usual load of speed and talent. St. X's depth might hurt them, but this is no way a walk in the park.

Week 1

Glenville traveled to Indiana and faced 4-Time Big School defending state champion Warren Central out of Indianapolis. It was a scorefest as neither team could stop the other. Glenville is loaded with speed, as usual so this was a track meet as is the case whenever Warren Central is involved.

Final Score: Glenville 38, Warren Central 36

 

Week 2

Continuing their early season gauntlet, Glenville played in Canton, OH in the Kirk Herbstreit Ohio vs. USA Challenge. They faced off against Long Beach Poly from California. Long Beach is known nationally as the high school that has produced more NFL players than any high school in the country. Again, Long Beach was filled with athletes and speed galore. Glenville only scored one offensive TD en route to 13 points. They did drop a pass in the end zone with 2:16 left that would have given them a chance at tying the game, but alas it was not to be.

Final Score: Glenville 13, Long Beach, Poly 21

 

Currently it's 7-6 St. Xavier and they are driving mid-way into the 2nd quarter. Glenville scored first but they have no kicking game whatsoever. And honestly, I don't think Glenville will be able to stop St. Xavier at all. If X punts more than once all game, I'd be shocked.

17-6 Bombers with 2 min. left in the 3rd. Bombers just sailed a snap over the punter's head...Glenville 1st and goal at the 8.
