I thought it may be nice to have a thread to post news articles on football teams in the region. The Independent normally has an article each day, Monday - Friday. So I will try to post a link to all these articles for everyone to read about the North-Eastern Kentucky football teams.

Nice article about Lawrence Co. quarterback Boone Goldsmith, about how he has overcome injuries and still playing.

Daily independent does great job with high school sports .... Has to sell newspapers ... In part a big reason I subscribe ...

Sticking with the "battling injury" theme, The Independent had a good story today on Ashland's Daniel McDavid.

The Daily Independent like another has said does a great job promoting all of our local teams in their coverage area. The article on the Goldsmith kid was outstanding.

A good story on Russell's Mickey Brown, battling back from a non-football injury.

I'm happy for Mahan that he was ruled eligible, but I would like to know the KHSAA's reasoning for allowing him to play.
