August 27, 200719 yr Author In the grand tradition of posting teams and asking what others think, I submit for your rating these two teams that I've drafted in the past 4 days. August 27, 200719 yr Because everyone else is doing it.... 8 team league, 2nd pick.... QB-Vince Young, Donovan McNabb RB-Steven Jackson, Joseph Addai, Reggie Bush, Willis McGahee, Adrian Peterson WR-Chad Johnson, Vincent Jackson, Roy Williams, Randy Moss, Braylon Edwards TE-Jason Witten, LJ Smith K-Adam Vinateri DEF-Pittsburgh
August 27, 200719 yr OK...here's the team I drafted earlier today... 4th pick in an 11 team league (one guy was kind of wishy-washy all along and backed out at the end)... We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, DST... QB - Tony Romo, Chad Pennington RB - Joseph Addai, Deuce McCallister, Thomas Jones, Leon Washington WR - Steve Smith, Reggie Brown, Chris Chambers TE - Todd Heap, Dallas Clark K - Olindo Mare DST - Green Bay
August 27, 200719 yr Mind giving a position and team? Sorry about that...I had just finished the live draft for a league with some guys from work. I was trying to decide which craptacular player to take next...

You'll really need Jones to deliver in New York because I do not think Deuce is going to get you the production you need at RB2. Reggie Brown may end up being a strong WR2 if he and Donovan hook up like they did in the first half of last season, but you'll be hurting if it looks like the second half. Your QB situation really concerns me.

QB-Vince Young, Donovan McNabb RB-Steven Jackson, Joseph Addai, Reggie Bush, Willis McGahee, Adrian Peterson WR-Chad Johnson, Vincent Jackson, Roy Williams, Randy Moss, Braylon Edwards TE-Jason Witten, LJ Smith K-Adam Vinateri DEF-Pittsburgh I know 8 team leagues tend to produce monster teams, but I can only imagine that they practically handed you the championship. Those RBs are ridiculous. How did they let you have Steven Jackson AND Addai? And that's before you get to fringe RB1s in Bush & McGahee. Chad Johnson & Roy Williams at WR is great and if Moss returns to form you'll really be set. Solid TE picks, great K, solid DST. If Donovan returns to form you'll coast to that championship.

Your QB situation really concerns me. I like Romo because he did pretty well last season and he has alot of weapons to work with. Pennington is similiar in that he is solid and has some tools to work with in Coles and Cotchery. As for Jones is my RB2. I got Washington so if Thomas doesn't pan out, I have the back up on this good running team. Although I will be honest...I had crossed out both backs on either side of Cedric Benson and it looked like he was crossed out as well. I took Jones and the next guy scooped CB up...DOH! Darn first timer next to me kept asking me questions while every one else was picking and I missed out on a top notch backfield...:irked: I didn't feel great, but I figure middle of the pack...
