Why do they still have the pitcher bat in the All-Star game??? If this is suppossed to be a game for the fans, allow for a DH. The Peavy v Beckett match-up doesn't really catch my fancy.

It keeps tradition...when at an NL ballpark the pitcher is to hit...which actually should help the NL more than the AL.

It keeps tradition...when at an NL ballpark the pitcher is to hit...which actually should help the NL more than the AL.

 

Keep tradition for the World Series. This is the All star game. I want to see an exciting game with the best hitters in the world. That would entail not having a pitcher bat. The game's an exhibition of talent, let the pitchers pitch and the batters bat.
