Harlan's David Evans was named 13th Region COY, per the June 1 Harlan Daily Enterprise. Congrats to Coach Evans for the award after leading Harlan to what is believed to be a record 22 wins.

WOW....what a great honor but I think that North Laurels coach would be more deserving...pitching an 8th grader, and young team and WINNING THE REGION!!! Could be a little home cooking there. I think Corbin's Garman could also be considered along with Smiht from Whitley County, and lets not forget South's coach, I mean he was only the region runner up. LOL

My vote goes to Darren McWhorter.

I'll agree with North Laurels coach being more deserving. He did win the region. Can't disagree more with garmon or smith, Whitley didn't make it out of the district and Corbin lost the first round game of the region. And South Laurel wasn't region runner up, Middlesboro was.

McWhorter from North Laurel, hands down the best job this year.

The all-star teams and postseason honors were selected BEFORE the regional tournament began.

Harlan went from 9-22 to 22-10 and didn't have high expectations coming into the season. You could certainly make a good case for the North Laurel coach also.

Who were the All-Region Players?

Congrats to Coach Evans on a well deserved honor.

No brainer - McWhorter of North Laurel.

If it was voted on prior to the tournament, I'd say Stricklin of Williamsburg.

Congrats to Coach Evans!

My vote would be McWhorter from North Laurel, but don't want that to take away from the season Harlan had!
