Clark Co. wins 10-0 vs Paris in the first game of the 40th district tourney tonight at Montgomery Co. Championship game will be play on Wed. at Montgomery Co.

Montgomery won the 2nd game 5-2 so GRC and Montgomery will square off for the fourth time this season.

The Eagles and Camels have to worry about there match up first, but if they win it certainly does help to know if you win the region you will either play St. Pats, Montgomery, or PC/Nicholas.

Clark Co. took care of business tonight in the first game of the 40th

district tourney to defeat Paris 10-0 in 6th innings. Lance Rose started

and went 5 shutout innings, and Evan Bennett came in the 6th to preserve the win. Jordon Barker went the distance at catcher.

 

With MC upsetting Bourbon Co, it sets up the two great rivals of MC and GRC in the finals. Drawing either of these teams in the region will be a tuff draw.

Great wins for both teams. The 10th region fans are beginning to see what we've seen in the 14th region for a long time, Gene Combs can coach. It looks like the kids are beginning to understand his system at Montgomery Co.

Congrats to Montgomery Co. on the win. I have seen them play several times, and they have gotten better all year. The progress they have made as a team was most evident last night by defeating a very good Bourbon Co. team.

If you look at Bourbon's schedule you see alot of wins against teams with losing records, not exactly sure what happened to the team that many picked to win the region in preseason. They didn't seem to play well all year long against the better teams in the region. Congrats to Coach Combs on making it to the region in his first year at Montgomery.
