Diamond Dandy Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Hughes gets the win. Vince Murray goes yard for a 3 run walk off HR.
Diamond Dandy Posted May 12, 2007 Author Posted May 12, 2007 Who pitched for BW? Don't know the first kid, didn't throw very hard. Brady Slusher finished.
luvthemraiders Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Thought more would come out to see a rematch of last year's regional final, but I guess I'm comparing crowds to when Ryle hooked up with the Rebels. Awesome place to play and the Raiders really looked sharp. Always nice to finish a game with a walkoff Johnson by Vince. Keep up the good work, Raiders.
3ptshooter Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 IMO, Ryle will not win the region! Don't really have any rhyme nor reason but just a gut feeling. They are probably more talented position by position than any one else in the region but just don't think they will win it all.

Beechwood may be lucky to make it out of distict .As far as Elliott goes ,if you judge a kid on 1 game that is a shame .You know a player does not have hits in every game .I am sure Vince and Garrett have had a couple hitless games this year .No need to be so defensive when someone says something negative about your team . I feel it may come down to Cov Cath and Ryle .It may determine if Beechwood makes it out of district .I would not want to face B'Wood and Elliot and then turn around to play Cov Cath or Ryle .I am sure they will have to throw the best to beat him . I believe no one has played a tougher schedule than B'Wood .They just do not seem to be deep in pitching .Looking at the schedule they have played top teams tough and been man-handled by them . Should make for a interesting post-season Do not rule out HC,STHENRY and Campbell Co.:thumb:

Your right everyone has an off day. Even if Elliot pitches, Beechwood has to score runs and they didn't look impressive offensively. In a one game series, anyone can win however.

Coachg13207 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 I have not seen B'Wood's stats either .I wonder why they do not send them in . Where is the region tourney being held ? Is it at Champion again ?
Diamond Dandy Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 I have not seen B'Wood's stats either .I wonder why they do not send them in . Where is the region tourney being held ? Is it at Champion again ? Boone County as of now, unless they can get Champions. Regionals are slated for Champions.
Coachg13207 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Could be fun to bounce around to games . Be nice if the "BIG DOGS " play at different times or days .I'd like to take in as many games as possible .Hopefully everyone keeps the schedule up to date on here .
3ptshooter Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Doubt Beechwood will. Elliott went hitless, I was expecting more. Should have came Friday night! He is as solid of a player as they come. Ryle pitched him very smart, no fastballs, maybe one/two a mile over his head. As stated earlier, BHS may not even get out of the district do to the tie but I wouldn't want to be the first team BHS plays as they will see Elliott on the mound.
